There is nothing like meeting your child for the first time. No words can describe the feeling of holding them in your arm, and how something so small could hold so much space in your heart. At the same time, raising them can be challenging. Being so exhausted to the point that you forget your name. And even though you're tired, you're incapable of sleeping because you can't stop staring at your baby and trying to memorize every baby roll.

This is why I have created an experience for sentimental parents who want to document their families with ease and intentionality during this season of life. As your photographer, I will be there to guide you. From birth to the first birthday, and everything along the way, my main goal is to provide you with an experience that makes you feel at ease and allows you to cherish every moment with your sweet baby.

Simply reach out using my contact form to share a bit about you and your family, your due date and the session(s) you have in mind. Then, I'll be in touch within 48 hours to give you more information and the next steps to secure your date.

The Business Stuff

Once you decide to move forward, I will send you a quote containing a contract detailing our arrangement and an invoice for the retainer fee. Once those two items are completed, I will block time off on my calendar around your due date. We will officially set the session date once your baby is delivered. I'll send you a client guide with all the details on how to prepare for your session. I'll be available for wardrobe selection assistance and answer any questions you may have along the way.

The Big Day

Plan on feeding and changing your baby right before I arrive. Don't worry if we need to pause the session to feed or change your baby again. This is normal! I plan extra time for newborn sessions. Also, if you don't get to tidying up... That's okay! I know you're in the throes of newborn life. I will happily help tidy up once I arrive. 

During your session, your primary focus will be soaking in that sweet baby of yours and I'll handle the rest.

Newborn Session

The Creative Session Fee or "sitting" fee reserves your date on my calendar and includes:
  • Portrait session with immediate family
  • Your choice between a in-home, studio, or outdoor session (travel fees may apply for locations 50 miles outside of the 80516 zip code)
  • Session planning and guidance
  • Access to client wardrobe or wardrobe selection assistance

Within one week of your session, you'll receive online proof gallery with all of your best images color corrected. After viewing the gallery, you'll choose which digital and print package you’d like to purchase.

After you make your selections, I will do the final touchups and send the digital files back to you within one to two weeks. Your prints will be delivered straight to your home.

I guarantee that your images will remain in an online gallery for at least six months. While your galleries may stay up longer than that, I cannot guarantee it. Once your galleries have been delivered, I highly recommend downloading all high resolution images to several devices. Consider investing in a portable, waterproof external hard drive.

Yes, you are welcome to print the images on your own. If you do this, we recommend making sure that the printer does not color correct the images (many automatically do this.)

While 10 cent prints sound great in theory, the cheaper printing quality often won’t do your images justice. Paper quality, color correction and a handful of other factors play a big role in the way your prints turn out. This is one of the reasons why I recommend ordering prints through your online gallery!

You are absolutely welcome to share images on social media. To ensure that my work is properly represented, I ask that you refrain from any edit, that includes placing a filter on them. I also appreciate image credits and tags as they help me to continue to grow as a business. 

I use very little props during newborn sessions. I will bring an array of swaddles, headbands, and hats to your session. My main goal during your session is to capture the connection between your baby and family. 

If you are looking for traditional newborn portraits (i.e. posing on different sets, buckets/baskets, etc.), I would be happy to refer you to other photographers in that genre.
